Daigotsu Gahseng - Spider Clan Samurai and Paragon from the upcoming "Path of the Destroyer" Legend of the Five Rings set.

His card is incredible, in-game wise. You can see it previewed here: [link]

Did this stud whilst on vacation in sunny Florida. Looks like the Spider Clan will be sending some folks to help fight at the Kaiu Wall.

This is the first card I did with my trick new Wacom Intuos II. What a sweet investment.

As I am wont to do, I added my Fallen Crane kabuki-samurai Shimekiri in the background. Looking hard after throating him an oni.

I can attest to him being a magnificent personality in game. Even better if he makes Dark Virtue Bully dueling as broken as I think he does.

Especially when Minoko is issuing the challenges ;)

Also: Any inkling when you'll be doing an experienced Shimikiri for us?

I'd love a 4/4 Spider duelist. He was well worth his cost back in Samurai.

Hah. Shimekiri would need a basic version first.

Hideshi is not Shimekiri

I would love to work a Spider dueler. There's just not enough good duel creating cards. We could use that ronin 5 Chi Tactician/Duelist and maybe Hisao as well.

I totally confused myself there >.<

Perhaps it was my seeing Hideshi as your avatar for so long.

Dueling isn't as great as it once was for military. There are two good duels that we can use, only one is unrefuseable, then the reaction one is okay, but impromptu isn't as good for us, though it sets us up for Imperial Adjudication and helps us against dishonor.

With this guy, if discarding cards from focus pools is considered an effect of the card that created the duel then he can pull back any Dark Virtues that we focused which would be amazing for us.

More broken than Asatte was in Lotus (Pre-Errata it had 4 focus value). [link]

Though Shimekiri doesn't necessarily need a non-experienced version. Look at Yhumi for example.

Yeah, a straight Unique would be hot.

I've always loved dueling and I'm sad that they killed it for CE. At least for anyone other than Crane and Dragon. If they make another good duel I'm right there with you in making a deck.

Have you posted that discard question to the main board yet? (other than on the actual thread about the card)
